Poppy seeds were dry so were collected.The seed pod has channels at the top of the pod, which open when ripe. The seeds simply fall out when the plant falls to the ground.If the seed dispersing channels are not open the pod needs more drying. There is a large number of seeds in one pod.I use them for making pilot bread.
