My two thornless blackberry bushes were pruned. They become a mess each year since growth is prodigious. I remove cross growing material and generally try to tidy the bushes. Some years I get a large quantity of superb, sweet berries. Step by step pruning instructions are almost impossible, due to the prodigious growth.
