Masa was made from a liter dent corn purchased from a bird supply market.This corn is clean and free from chaff. This process treating with calcium hydroxide makes the field corn digestible. After the masa is prepared it may be stored as is for a few days in the refrigerator, or frozen for long term storage,ground into dough if one has the tools for making tortillas, or dried and ground into flour in a blender or flour mill.
