A flat of watermelon plants were purchased. Crimson sweet is the type. There were two in each division and four divisions. There were planted in four spaces and will be allowed to trail around the circular plot. The roots were marked to facilitate watering the roots as required. The area was mulched to retain moisture. Melons grow well in this Zone 5.
