Eighteen tomato plants were moved from the greenhouse to the outdoor garden. They are close to a vertical post and are supported by strings tied to an overhead structure. They are not suckered, hence free growing. New support strings are added as needed to keep the fruit off the ground. A close record will be kept of the weight during the season. The types chosen are: 5 Black Krim, 2 Blue fruit, 3 Russian Black, 3 Black from Tula, 3 Paul Robenson, 2 Whopper. Total of 18 plants. The new ones to me is the Whopper, Blue fruit and Russian black. All were grown from seed except the Whopper.
