There is one plant in the garden, grown for it decorative, tropical appearance. It is an annual in my Zone 5. The plant is started indoors and my objective is to see how large it can get in one Summer. The seeds must be accounted for, since they contain RICIN, amongst the deadliest poisons in the plant world. Each of the seed pods in the photo contain three seeds. Each seed has a different pattern, and they are extremely hard, when ripe. There are two types a green and a red. This one is the green type.
