Twenty eight pounds of blueberries were picked at a commercial site cost $81.25 or $2.85 per pound. The berries were larger than usual and most were ripe in a clump, hence easy to pick. The berries were culled and cleaned and a liter of water added for about 1.4 pound of berries per liter to make a drinkable juice. The berries were split into two batches, cooked until soft, hand blended into a slurry, strained through a 2mm mesh screen on a food mill, placed in liter jars and pressure canned at 15 PSI for 15 minutes for long term storage at room temperate. The pressure canner has a capacity of seven liter jars so four batches were required for a total of 28 liter jars. Pictures depict the process.
