The bulbils from the 2019 garlic crop are dry and they were cleaned and winnowed for storage until planted in October. Only hundred are needed so most will be discarded.The first year growing they produce one small peanut sized bulb called a round. The round planted will produce one bulb with about four good size cloves, the following year normal size bulb will be formed. This method leaves all the main crop for use, hence is more economical for growing on a large scale.
