The garlic bed 8 by 8 feet was prepared for planting about 25 of October for the 2014/2015 season. Harvest will be about 15 of July 2015. The bed was rototilled, some compost added, some pellet fertilizer (20 20 20), and covered with wood chips. The garlic cloves with be placed at 6 inch centers and covered with the chips, which will add some protection from Winter weather, also retain moisture during the growing season.The cloves are from the 2014 crop, About 100 cloves will be required.The bed is slightly raised to insure good drainage.
