Four Purple ruffles Basil was placed in the outdoor garden.This dark basil appears to produce less seed pods than the solid green.Four plants produce a large quantity of basil.

Four Purple Ruffles basil plants, sufficient for my needs, were purchased and placed in larger pots individually. They will be protected from the elements until it is warm enough to place outdoors, at the end of May. Basil cannot withstand any frost. I usually grow the all green, but saw this type last year in another garden and considered it superior ;in that,it didn’t appear to bloom so much.
