30 March 2016 Chickpea Soup (garbanzo Beans) This is done without soaking.
Chickpea Soup (garbanzo Beans) preparation. Wash the dried chickpeas thoroughly. Cover with water, bring to a boil for about 30 minutes, rinse thoroughly. Cover with fresh water and simmer gently for about four hours, sampling periodically to ascertain if they are the softness desired. Lentils wash thoroughly and add to the chickpea pot to cook gently about two hours.
The double boiler mixing pot was prepared. Three liters of previously pressure cooked vegetables, collards, celery, carrots, kale, cucumber, corn,one garlic bulb, two onions, some mustard, molasses, soy sauce, paprika, salt and pepper, olive oil. All the ingredients were then placed in the double boiler and allowed to simmer for about four hours. The soup was left in double boiler to soak overnight. After finished store in refrigerator and freezer in plastic containers. Pictures depict the simple process.
