About 60 Indian Corn seeds were planted. When plants are small rodent and bird protection is prudent, chicken wire and a board over the small sprouts deters encroachments. This small patch produces about 30 pounds of shelled kernels. It is dried, nixtamalized, and stored, for making gruel breakfast cereal.
