Sand

http://www.durgan.org/URL/?ZYRXX 20 March 2012 Sand for later use.

A half yard capacity box placed in the back of the van is used to transport garden material. A quarter yard of sand was picked up for later use and stored in 20 litre pails, which are purchased from a local factory for two dollars each. The sand is used when making new beds as required, and for my potting soil later in the Summer. The material is washed mason sand. In the garden it tends to stop soil from coagulating into lumps, particularly heavily composted beds.
